Data Protection Advisor - up to £45,000 plus bonus and benefits

International Consultancy - Central London

PURPOSE OF ROLE

To offer advice to clients on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for new and existing clients of the organisation

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

You will work alongside the Data Protection Officers in the organisation and be part of key compliance projects which the Company requires completed.

Responsibilities:
  • Working in partnership with the internal team to ensure clients remain compliant with the new regulation GDPR.
  • Implementing and monitoring new policies and procedures, ensuring they are delivered to clients to a pre-agreed schedule.
  • Assisting the department with client on-boarding which will include writing and presenting to prospective clients on and off site
  • Providing advice and guidance to clients when the Data Protection Officers are unavailable.
  • Deal with ad hoc queries.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
  • Must be able to deliver staff training sessions in a professional and engaging way.
  • Previous working knowledge of GDPR compliance in a Commercial environment
  • Fast learner - able to pick-up and learn regulatory and business requirements.
  • Excellent IT skills - Microsoft Office preferred and ability to learn in-house CRM.
  • Self-starter - able to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Strong team orientated approach, with flexibility regarding tasks undertaken and hours worked.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to empathise and create trust with ease.
  • Planning and organisational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Achievements and results drive: the desire to get things done well and the ability to set and meet challenging goals, create own measures of excellence and constantly seeking ways of improving performance.
  • Resilient - delivers a consistently high-level level of performance irrespective of whether, on a given working day, you are on or off site, have travelled to an event and / or are working remotely from other colleagues.
  • Ambassador of the brand; promoting the Company internally and externally.
