ServiceNow Developer/Consultant required by my market leading client based in South West London.

Purpose of the role: To upgrade The ServiceNow Helsinki instance to Jakarta and then reset instance to out of the box solution.

The reset instance needs to be configured, modules that need to be configured are Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management.

Design, configure and develop ServiceNow modules to support IT Service Management processes and meet process requirements:

  • Gather, review and clarify business requirements and use-cases with stakeholders and end users
  • Provide technical input on the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform and insights on the preferred/best practice way to implement solutions.

    Key responsibilities:

    Reset the clients ServiceNow instance to an out of the box solution Implement a range of solutions based on the ServiceNow platform including, but not limited to:

  • Javascript development
  • UI/UX development using Angular, HTML & CSS
  • Extend existing/create new classes & tables
  • Create integrations with other business management systems using APIs, web-services, import tables etc.
  • Workflow development
  • CI class creation and/or modification of existing classes and relationships
  • Customisation of the service catalogue and customer-facing portal
  • Use of automation to populate the CMDB
  • Support and improve the existing ServiceNow applications and processes
  • Configuration management of the ServiceNow production environments
  • Release management between development, test and production instance
  • Implement additional ServiceNow modules and applications
  • Implement enhancements as per clients ServiceNow roadmap
  • Person Specification:

    Strong commitment to operational standards in a service delivery environment - 24/7 global organisation.

    High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal and collaborative skills; and the ability to communicate risk-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

    Ability to liaise with technical experts from other disciplines.

    Superior analytical and risk management skills.

    Ability to work under tight time constraints.

    Ability to raise risks and issues in a timely manner to the right people at the right time.

    Good understanding of software delivery life cycle and release.

    Understanding of ITIL Processes.

    Good knowledge and experience of the principles of service delivery and management - operating within ITIL process framework and continual service improvement.

    A broad understanding of complex technical, business issues, hardware and software.

    Previous experience in ServiceNow Development.

    Source control (Git, Bitbucket)

    Automated testing (unit, functional, integration)

    API development and integration

    ServiceNow Certified System Administrator

    ITIL Foundation
