This is a DevOps role within the Functions/RFT Technology area which focuses on implementing business and technical change. This role is to support teams in automating their delivery pipeline, maintaining and enhancing the DevOps toolset as well as supporting development of SharePoint repositories as required.

Your role
  • Coach and train delivery teams in with DevOps best practices
  • Manage and administrate 3rd party hosting services (Bitbucket, TeamCity, Jenkins, Sonar, NexusPro, Nolio)
  • Support teams in automating and streamlining operations and processes
  • Build and maintain building/testing/deployment/monitoring and operations tools
  • Proactive management of problems within the DevOps tooling environments
  • 2nd & 3rd line support for DevOps Toolset
  • Develop and maintain Confluence site of guidelines, best practices, examples.

Essential Skills/Basic:
  • Understanding of SDLC: Waterfall & Agile
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment
  • Build engineering & automation of deployments
  • Knowledge of the following tools and specialist in at least 2:TeamCity, Jenkins,Sonar,Nexus Pro, Bitbucket,Chef

Desirable skills:
  • Ability to program using C#, Java or any other language
  • Teamcity/TFS and Octopus for automated build and deployment
  • Understanding of code quality & security gates (sonarqube/checkmarx/crucible)
  • pm/bower/nuget package management
