NETWORK ENGINEER- Financial Services - Kent- 60K (BONUS/BENEFITS)- Required experienced Network Engineer (routing/switching) to be responsible for supporting and improving the availability and resilience of my client's IT Infrastructure.

This opportunity offers the chance to be responsible for solution design, scoping and implementation, Backups and Recovery, systems and data security and risk management, growth and capacity planning, event, incident and problem management and patching and upgrades.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS:

* Own all the network services and ensure all activities within this functional area are effectively managed
* At least 5 years' experience working within a technical support role delivering network solutions
* Previous experience of working in an 'outcomes' based multi-sourced environment
* A range of recognised IT qualifications e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, WCNA, CIISP
* Experience working with cloud hosted infrastructure in Azure or AWS and Cloud Services - and how to safely leverage public or private cloud services as part of a wider hybrid WAN environment.
* Proven experience in the design and implementation of fully resilient architecture and comms solutions
* Highly developed knowledge of LAN\WAN networking principles including MPLS, VPLS, VPN, P2P etc
* Strong experience of Cisco enterprise switching & routing infrastructure
* Developed knowledge of network Intrusion detection and experienced in the design, deployment and support of Content Filtering Solutions - e.g. Websense / ZScaler.
* Experience of bandwidth management, packet shaping and traffic prioritisation solutions - e.g. Bluecoat.
* Knowledge of Proxy Servers & Load Balancing technology -e.g. F5 / Citrix Netscaler.
* Competent in the configuration and use of monitoring solutions - e.g. Solarwinds.
* Competent using Service Management tools e.g. Service Now for incident & change management.
* Highly developed knowledge of Layer2\3 network architecture including VLAN's & DMZ layering principles.
* Experience of enterprise WLAN solutions, for seamless cross site services and guest/corporate user segregation.
