Part-Time Accounts Assistant

Central Cardiff

£18,000 - £20,000 Pro Rata

A fantastic part-time opportunity has arisen in the Cardiff area for a friendly and confident part-time Finance Assistant. The role is being offered on a fixed term contract for 13 months to cover a period of maternity. The successful candidate will be required to work 3 days a week and my client can be flexible with the days worked.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working within a small and close knit accounts office, having dealt with a variety of tasks.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Entering purchase ledger invoices and associated tasks
  2. Dealing with over-seas invoices as time/disbursements
  3. Entering manual timesheets onto system
  4. Entering contractors and new employee payroll information for over-seas staff
  5. Set up charge out rates for timesheet purposes
  6. Cashbook maintenance
  7. Processing foreign currency payments, dealing with Sterling, Euro`s and Dollars
  8. Journal entry
  9. Ad hoc work on Excel

The successful candidate will possess strong Excel skills ideally to Intermediate level and enjoy working to tight deadlines. The ability to communicate with all levels of people is vital coupled with an inquisitive mind. If you speak Russian this would be a distinct advantage however, is not essential.
