**IR35 Status **The client has stated that this role is Out of Scope of the new off pay-role worker legislation**

I am currently recruiting a Senior Developer for the Cabinet Office for a 3 month contract

The role is based in London and is paying upto £475 LTD rate. This role has been deemed out of scope of IR35

You’ll share the responsibility for the delivery of Service Performance, with a particular focus on the front-end of the application, including the CSS, HTML and Javascript in the application.

They use the GOV.UK template frontend ( https://www.gov.uk/service-manual/design/using-the-govuk-template-frontend-toolkit-and-elements ) and any prior experience would be a distinct advantage.

Main responsibilities

As a Developer you’ll:

? work closely with the team designer to rework and deliver the application front end following the GOV.UK guidance, using the provided frameworks (https://www.gov.uk/service-manual/design/using-the-govuk-template-frontend-toolkit-and-elements)

? help with the design and implementation of charting for the performance data using Java script

? occasionally help with backend code where necessary to deliver functionality in the presentation layer.

? help Service Performance get into public beta.

? build automated tests to support our continuous deployment environment

? share knowledge of tools and techniques with your wider team, both developers and non-developers

? share your knowledge and experience of web site accessibility.

? take part in daily stand ups to ensure progress is shared.

Skills and experience

For this role it is essential that you have:

? have significant experience in front-end and back-end development, with a strong preference for front-end development.

? Strong CSS, HTML and Java script skills.

? Experience using and contributing to Ruby on Rails applications

? understanding of software design principles

? experience of using testing to validate solutions

? understanding of agile environments and version control

Ensure appropriate use of programmes such as XHTML, CSS, Java script, XML, AJAX.

Manage source code releases.

Use appropriate tools to manage/track tasks.

Investigate and fix software faults and bugs as assigned.

Assist in providing development time scales and estimates.

Assist in providing technical feedback on business requirements.
