We have a very exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Late Shift Manager at our Leeds Plant, helping us to continue to improve and deliver the best service.

About the role

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for ownership and management across the specified shift, leading a management team of 10 direct reports, and over 350 frontline employees, working to ensure full compliance to the national work plan, and achievement of all key shift targets.

As an inspirational leader, you will motivate your team to achieve the plant’s Safety, Customer, Financial, People and World Class Mail scorecard measures, all with a focus on continuous improvement. By holding regular development meetings with staff, you’ll identify areas for improvement and implement development plans where required.

Shift Pattern

2pm – 10pm Monday to Friday but flexible attendance as and when required.

About You

We’re looking for individuals with a passion for people. You’ll provide coaching and advice, while keeping the whole operation running smoothly. Your experience might be within processing or logistics, but your ability to motivate, inspire and lead is what we’re looking for. You’ll utilise your exceptional time management skills and ability to think on your feet to ensure time-critical deadlines are met in a high pressure environment. With a budget of £8 Million, you’ll have an eye for detail and be confident in efficiently managing resources and budgets – all while ensuring your team is working at its very best.

If you’re numerically literate with a logical approach to planning, can communicate effectively to facilitate a team’s success, and can operate and inspire within a changing environment, you could be rewarded with a fast paced role in a growth area where diversification of work streams and strategy will be high on the agenda.
