My client in Bromley from the leisure and travel sector is looking for an enthusiastic accounts assistant to join their well established team on a full time permanent basis!

Monday - Friday 9-5.30

Role and Responsibilities

Daily/Weekly

• Check and Process Invoices onto ledger (Oracle) and voucher match on the bespoke company software
• Process tour accounts and contract fees onto ledger and bespoke company software
• Liaise with Operational contacts for queries on invoices/tour accounts
• Raise manual payments
• Email payment confirmations to suppliers
• Prepare cash flows
• Daily bank fraud check
• Filing
• Assist Management Accountant with ad hoc requests when needed

Monthly
• Bank reconciliations
• Reconcile revenues from the ledger against the bespoke company software
• Update reporting variance sheets with actual costs (for Asia only)
• Maintenance of Optional Revenue spreadsheets
• Check AP trail balance to ensure all suppliers are paid on time
• Reconciliation of prepayment accounts
• Reconciliation of credit card expense account (Latin America only)
• Check unclaimed services reports and remove any services where vouchers cannot be matched

You are not required to have experience in all the duties mentioned above, this is just what the role entails.

The successful candidate will:

• Have an energetic can-do attitude and be willing to assist other team members when required
• High attention to detail
• Have a pleasant telephone manner and be confident when dealing with foreign suppliers over the phone
• Be efficient in working with basic Excel functions and create functional spreadsheets
• Be efficient in Outlook and compose professional emails
• Experience with Oracle AP system would be an advantage but not a requirement
