Primary SEN Teaching Assistant - behaviour
***Psychology Graduate- 2:1 or higher
***Experience or interest in ASD/ASC
***Specialist unit in a mainstream school
***Autism training available
***Perfect school based experience
***School based in Southwark
***Full-time hour Mon- Friday, start ASAP
***Earn up to £350 per week
The school is keen to appoint a highly academic graduate keen to start a career within SEN. All the children in the unit have funding for additional support for autism. Children here progress well and have 1:1 support in the following areas;
- Social Communication and Interaction
- Emotional Regulation (learning to understand their feelings and manage their own behaviour)
- Increasing flexibility of thinking and behaving
These measures will be key to helping children access the curriculum and a big part of you role will be recording progress in these key areas alongside the more general learning goals. Supported by the SENCo will put you in a great position to kick-start your role as an educational psychologist and this role could be perfect for you!
