As the Service Desk Manager / IT Manager within Hardware & Systems, you will be responsible for leading, developing and supervising a team of Technicians providing field service and first line support to the business. In addition, you will lead the End-User-Devices Specialists to manage and roll out new IT equipment across UK and Ireland.

Role: Service Desk Manager / IT Manager
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £50,000 - £57,000 + excellent package, to include a progressive salary package, enhanced pension scheme, 33 days holiday, death in service, life assurance and private medical.

Service Desk Manager / IT Manager duties will include:
·Lead, direct and supervise the work of employees reporting to you
·Identify and support employees development that report to you
·Coordinate and direct consultants, contractors, vendors and suppliers and prepare contracts as required
·Maintain an understanding of user requirements and open issues for your area of responsibility
·Ensure projects within the area of responsibility are delivered on time to agreed scope and budget

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
·Prior experience of successfully managing a 1st/2nd line support desk
·Numerate, technical or business orientated degree 2:1 or above
·Structured project management experience or appropriate formal qualification
·Delivery of projects on time to agreed scope and budget
·Experience of managing change
·Willingness to take responsibility and a pragmatic, goal orientated approach


The role is based at the busy West Midlands office which is easily commutable from Nuneaton, Leicester, Nottingham, Coventry, Birmingham, Tamworth, Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Market Harborough, Lichfield, Loughborough, Rugby, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Staffordshire, Burton-on-Trent and Derby.
