Treasury Assistant required

Cardiff

Salary of £18,000 - £20,000 per annum plus benefits

Reporting into the Finance Manager of a large organisation, the main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Prepare cheques or make cash payments to employees, customers, suppliers, or other parties or for approved expenditures or refunds
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare bank deposits.
  • Provide and record daily cash transactions, compile and verify reports.
  • Reconcile bank accounts.

Specific Job Activities:

  • All bank balances and send copies of statements as required.
  • Preparation of month reports
  • Monitoring Direct Debits
  • Liaise with the banks on a day to day basis and send reports.
  • Prepare daily spread sheets showing the balances and availability.
  • Allocate postings in SAP for bank accounts, direct debits, credit card and one off payments.
  • Intercompany payments.
  • Monitor and update exchange rate in SAP daily.
  • Monitor receipts into Bank
  • Analysis of Company credit card and allocate onto SAP.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Management of overdrafts in all accounts.
  • Covering of other treasury department roles when necessary.
  • Prepare one off payments online.

Applicants should have:

  • AAT qualified or studying.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Accuracy & Clarity in both written/verbal communications.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Ability to think laterally and have a variety of approaches to problem solving.
  • Knowledge of the SAP system.
