CNC Operator - County Durham
The role supports the wider CDI function, reporting into the Tool Room Supervisor. Focussing on programming, setting and operating a 3 and 5 Axis CNC, the role will also support in interpreting design drawings and working towards tight deadlines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
To programme, set and operate 3 Axis CNC and would be a significant advantage to programme operate 5 Axis CNC Machines using Siemens and Heidenhain controller
Interpret design drawings working to tight industry standard tolerances
Provide feedback on projects
To be able to work independently and as part of a team adhering to tight deadlines and production planned guidelines.
Good general standard of education with numeracy and literacy skills
Relevant Engineering qualifications or apprenticeship
Working knowledge of 3-Axis CNC
Experience of operating 5 Axis CNC Machines using Siemens and Heidenhain controller is a significant advantage
Additional desirable experience:
Multi-skilling engineering manufacture background
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques (SMED, TPM etc.)
