An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Clerk to work for this successful company in Gateshead

The successful candidate will earn between £18,000 and £21,000 depending on experience

Main Functions of the Job

  1. Processing of high volume subcontract certificates to timetable dates
  2. Ensuring compliance with CIS scheme
  3. Payment of subcontractor VAT invoices
  4. Ensuring invoices are in line with VAT regulations for zero and reduced rated suppliers where appropriate
  5. Production of regular payments runs
  6. Production of CIS Statements of payment/deduction to HMRC deadlines
  7. Compiling payment lists to assist with cash flow forecasting
  8. Dealing with subcontractor payment enquiries
  9. Filing and archiving

Skills Required

  1. High level of numeracy
  2. Accuracy and attention to detail
  3. Understanding of CIS scheme
  4. Good communication skills, both written and verbal
