My client based in South East Leeds, a large scale manufacturing business is looking to appoint a Purchase Ledger Assistant on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role and will involve;

  • Ensuring that all vendor invoices are registered, coded, authorised and approved on a daily basis and in line with cut off deadlines, company policies and procedures
  • Be responsible for the maintenance of vendor accounts from receipt of invoice to payment, reconciliation of statements and dealing with any associated queries
  • Ensure that vendor documentation is filed appropriately and on a regular basis
  • Submit Intrastat declarations to HMRC
  • Assist with cover during periods of absence, and undertake any additional tasks as required by the department.

Criteria;

  • Has experience in accounts payable / purchase ledger roles
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written for dealing with external vendors

Remuneration;

40 hour week
