Our client, a long standing and reputable Tool Manufacturer are currently looking to fill a position within their busy warehouse due to growth within the business.

THE JOB ROLE brief of duties

Responsibilities will include;
• Identify the procurement of goods and services to meet business objectives within the most appropriate time, quality and cost parameters. Ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
• Manage open orders to ensure goods are delivered in line with requirements
• Perform supply-demand analysis regularly, highlighting areas of concern
• Obtain pricing from approved supply base, issue purchase orders, resolve supply issues to meet customer demand and assist in resolving invoicing issues
• Support the planning and coordination of new product introductions or product changes
• Support the creation, revision and control of Bills of Materials utilising the Company's MRP system
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of department procedures and other controlled documents
• Work with warehouse management to investigate inventory inaccuracies and reconcile systematically
• Manage the creation and distribution of Works Orders to meet product demand profiles
• Contribute to department cost saving initiatives
• Maintain department KPI reporting


EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS

• Experience of Demand Planning / Stock Control
• Experience of importing goods from the Far East
• Good communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Intermediate level Excel skills including pivot tables and ODBC data links
• Sage 1000 experience
• A demonstrable understanding of ERP/MRP, purchasing tools and techniques
