Duties:
* Developing requirements, protocols and compliance of machines.
* Reviewing the Operating and Parts & Service manuals, reviewing labeling of units, reviewing sales and marketing material, reviewing machine design, reviewing manufacturing processes and documentation and creating and reviewing customer response documents* Provide assistance to product development activities by providing safety input as needed* Conduct safety reviews of new concepts and machines

* Assisting customers with issues relating to the use of aerial platforms and Product Safety

* Responding to customer enquiries regarding product safety standards and/or training

* Act as contact and liaise with legal counsel for incident reporting, including receiving preliminary incident reports from all sources

* Represent at safety related shows, conferences, industry committees and standards committee meetings

* Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and:

* OHSAS 18001:2007 Health and Safety management system standard

* ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management system standard

* TS16949 Technical Specification Management and Linamar Quality Basics system standards.

Candidate Criteria:

* Experience working with mobile equipment is preferred

* Experience with UK and European Safety Standards and Regulations would be a definite asset

* Strong technical writing skills and experience is essential

* Experience participating in safety reviews would be an asset

* Standards committee experience would be a definite advantage

* Incident investigation experience would be an asset

* Some knowledge of litigation and depositions would be advantageous.

* Superior organizational skills.

* Possess the ability to clearly communicate to all organizational levels both internally and externally.

* Additional languages – French and German - would be an asset

* Possesses and actively promotes excellence in Problem Solving skills.

* Process thinker with a strong statistical mind with the ability to interpret and communicate data.

* Must be willing and able to travel as required.
