Who we are

Lothian Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority that was established by The Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995.

What we do

Provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for East Lothian, the City of Edinburgh, Midlothian and West Lothian Councils in respect of compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Roll, Valuation (Council Tax) List and Registers of Electors.

To provide high quality, effective and responsive services to all of our stakeholders.

Who are we looking for

The successful candidate will assist the Joint Board's Valuation Team by maintaining the Valuation Roll and Council Tax List. You will be required to undertake the survey and measurement of both non-domestic and domestic properties through Lothian under the direction of qualified personnel. You will prepare survey reports and assist staff in the valuation of properties for Non-Domestic Rating and Council Tax banding purposes.

You will be required to enrol on a course of study towards achieving an HNC in Built Environment or equivalent.
