My client is one of the UK’s leading welfare to work providers and due to a recent contract win; they are looking to recruit an additional full time tutor to join their existing team in East and North London.
My client is looking for someone who is an experienced trainer/tutor with a proven track record of working with ESA or work choice customers. Someone with a good understanding of the barriers faced by those with disabilities and poor health conditions returning back to work.
Identify and assess individual learner needs and skills requirements by undertaking a robust initial assessment: including BKSB (Maths and English),
Experienced at developing tailored action plans to address specific barriers and skills development requirements. The training will include non-accredited personal, social and wellbeing development activities, and accredited work skills wrapped around a sector of interest, digital literacy and development of maths and English skills. The tailored action plan also includes SMART goals/targets.
Planning lessons effectively to ensure that activities are differentiated towards individual learner needs.
Delivering training, coaching and assessment that effectively assists learners to develop personal, social, employability and IT skills to better prepare them for work and independence.
Be proactive in evaluating learning support requirements; ensuring that it is consistently and effectively assessed, implemented and reviewed, throughout the learner’s journey.
Undertake regular and meaningful reviews with learners to ensure they remain engaged in the programme and that they are progressing well relative to their initial starting point.
Obtain and respond to learner and stakeholder feedback; to enhance outcomes and to contributing to the company’s cycle of continuous quality improvement.
Complete contract paperwork to an exceptionally high standard to avoid errors and potential funding claw back.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to a wide range of communication and learning styles
Strong interpersonal skills, specifically around listening, questioning, building relationships, motivation and demonstrating initiative
Influencing skills that promote commitment and action to improve learner independence
Must have a passion for supporting disabled people and those with complex barriers to reach better life outcomes
Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, accurate contractual paperwork and reports
Customer and outcome focused with a solutions based approach
Planning, problem solving, organisation skills and the ability to work under own initiative
Excellent computer skills - good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent classroom management skills
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
Teaching qualification CTTLs (equivalent) or above
Proven track record of working with unemployed adults
Proven track record of working with adults with complex barriers to progression
Proven track record of delivering funded employability programmes (including accredited and non-accredited qualifications)
To have the ability to travel independently as required
A1/TAQA or equivalent
Working with / delivering employability programmes to disabled adults / those with health conditions
Delivering IT and vocational programmes
Working with employers, to ensure programmes are employment focussed
Current knowledge of ESFA funding rules
Curriculum design experience
Package consists of Salary of £26,341 PA plus 30% share in the business, bonus, Bupa, 25 days holiday plus paid travel to outreach locations.
