Technical Support and Operations Officer
24 month Fixed Term Contract


The Job:
You will work as part of the Technical Support and Operations team and be responsible for the effective day to day management of the organisations infrastructure whilst assisting with the specification, design and implementation of new technologies.

The Work:

“What” the key priorities or responsibilities are and how much time is spent focusing on each. The standards of performance will detail the expected outcomes and “how” you undertake the role.

Accountable for the day-to-day availability, integrity, security, monitoring and management of the prevailing ICT Infrastructure in terms of Hardware, server, systems, applications and data.
Responsible for ensuring that the prevailing infrastructure remains current in terms of security and 3rd party support by means of remediation, anti-virus updates and by the application of approved upgrades.

40% Provide 3rd line engagement and support for incidents, service requests, and requests for change. Covering hardware, peripherals, operating systems and productivity applications.

20% Support the Technical Support and Operations Manager in researching and developing business aligned solutions based on the latest technology.

20% Investigate and develop solutions to underling infrastructure, system and application problems. Devise solutions to complex system integration or configuration requirements in response to evolving business needs. 15%
Support the ICT Infrastructure Manager in developing and maintaining operational controls, procedures and documentation. 5%

To be considered for this job I absolutely must have:-
Knowledge of Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems A good understanding of the challenges faced by the housing sector

Knowledge of Vmware virtualisation technologies A passion to utilise emerging technologies
