Our client is currently looking to recruit an experience Client Accountant for a 12 month FTC, the position will get made permanent for the right candidate.

Client Details

The client is a luxury property management business with a base in London, Manchester and Glasgow. The transactional finance team is based in Manchester, this position is sat withing the corporate reporting team in Glasgow City Centre.


The function of the role is to assist in the control of finances of client monies held (on behalf of Investors) in order to manage a property portfolio. The Client Accountant is to work within a team and to take a particular selection of clients/property portfolios to manage accordingly in line with tasks detailed below. The client selection includes national contracts serviced from the Glasgow office.

Key tasks and responsibilities include the following:

- Periodic reporting to clients (standard reports plus additional as required

- Ensure accurate reconciliation of client reports (ie VAT, client statement etc)

- Demand Rent, Service charge and other monies from Tenants

- Collection of monies

- Transfer of Rent monies to client

- Amendments to Client Accounts

- Payment of client property related transactions

- General maintenance of client funds ie tenant refunds etc

- Manage and maintain the Service charge funds of each property under remit

- Manage and maintain the property and tenant (lease) database for all clients under remit

- Liaison with Treasury Dept and client to ensure that cash-flow/funding for each property service charge is adequate

- Carry out annual property service charge reviews and liaise with Asset

- Manager and service charge team to ensure completion within best practice guidelines

- Carry out annual property service charge cash reconciliations including full balance sheet with narrative

- Ad-hoc tasks/projects


The individual should be:-

- Strong minded and self motivated

- Excellent organisation and communication skills

- Strong team player with the ability to work fast to meet deadlines

- Ideally someone who is studying their ACCA qualifications
