Job Description
You will be joining a well-established Global team which offers diversity across many commercial lines of business. These include; Marine, Casualty, ProFin, Property, Real Estate and Construction & Engineering.

This role involves controlling large complex commercial & multinational programmes with both national and international business. You will be working on major key accounts and your day to day responsibilities will include policy administration, processing and underwriting cases for negotiation, and supporting allocated cases to achieve business development and retention targets. A large part of your role will also be undertaking complex technical referrals and coaching less experienced members of the team.

You will use your relationship management and your strong communication skills to work closely with other elements of operations and the trading team to deliver unprecedented service. You will be able to build a strong tripartite relationship between Brokers, Customers and RSA which is fundamental in ensuring that we provide brilliant service representing the Operations team at new business and renewal pitches. You will be respected internally and externally for your technical and underwriting knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities
* Using established best practice processes through our Producing and Servicing expertise to provide consistently high standards in everything we do
* Co-ordinating complex large commercial & complex multinational programmes, demonstrating your expert knowledge of local compliance and regulations and delivering underwriting decisions
* Communicating and sharing information with global underwriters/ local offices, brokers and other interested parties
* Handling large and/or complex cases with the view to escalating to the required licence holder and supporting them to ensure they are handled appropriately
* Managing and resolving complaints within own licence level in an appropriate fashion to maintain quality and continuity of relationships
* Managing customer expectations and delivering exceptional technical expertise and service whilst proactively looking at opportunities to improve
* Making commitments, requests and offers to Brokers through commitment based management whilst ensuring Service Management and performance targets are met
* Providing expert advice, guidance and coaching to less qualified & / or experienced colleagues to address technical referrals and raise standards and expertise across Operations.
* Maintaining good internal relationships to support the end-to-end delivery of the customer proposition
* Contributing to the production of new policy wordings and/or reviews of existing policy wordings to ensure policy documentation is current and accurate
* Leading and / or contributing to technical validations and peer review processes as required to support an enable the maintenance of an effective control environment
* Act as a coach/ mentor to less experienced account handlers
* Drive continuous process improvement in all that you do

The Individual
* Strong customer services skills brought about by working directly with customers and in the customer environment
* Experience in London market / Commercial lines is a requirement , preferably Construction, Engineering, Property, or Casualty
* Excellent external networks and relations with customers and intermediaries
* Experience in working on project based work
* Experience in coaching others
* Significant expertise in dealing with International and Complex Commercial business
* Significant expertise in Multinational case handling experience ideally
