KNOW THE ROLE

As a visual merchandiser, you will have a passion and interest in fashion and youll be involved in every aspect of developing extraordinary creative visual merchandising. From the way products look to how new ones are launched, from mannequin styling to planning and implementing floor layouts and merchandising, youll do all you can to maintain world-class standards throughout. Youll also regularly walk the floor to spot opportunities and research competitor stores to make sure Selfridges remains the ultimate for visual impact. The better you are at promoting great working practices, sharing your knowledge and keeping up-to-date with current trends, the more effective youll be.

An organised, hands-on visual merchandiser, youll be in your element in a fast-paced and pressurised retail environment like ours. Working with the most desirable products around, its essential you have the style and professionalism to match. That means a proven talent for product handling, merchandising and presentation, with a strong creative streak and a keen eye for detail. Whats more, youll be resilient, flexible and self-motivated, and know exactly how to inspire, collaborate and influence at all levels.

Selfridges is a shop run on imagination: a place where the worlds most covetable brands combine with the most extraordinary spectacles, events and ideas for an experience like no other. The story began when Harry Gordon Selfridge first arrived in London from Chicago in 1906 with his heart set on opening his dream store.
