The company

Our client is a Financial Management company providing comprehensive financial planning service to clients. They offer investment advice, pension, protection and estate planning to both corporate and individual clients.

The Role

They are looking to appoint an Investment Administrator, whose responsibilities will include liaising with investment companies to obtain valuations and transaction histories of client holdings, inputting these details into the back office database and using this information to produce client portfolio valuations and reports for the Consultants.

A sound knowledge of investment products is preferable as it is necessary to differentiate between investment types (e.g. ISA, Unit Trust, Bonds etc.) as is the ability to understand reinvestments, the difference between Bid and Offer prices, be able to obtain online valuations of individual holdings, and have a good understanding of charges and how these affect the units held.

The successful candidate will also be required to deal with database housekeeping including recording details of fund switches, updating client details and other general administration.


Previous experience in an administrative role ideally within the financial services is advantageous, candidates with no experience but an interest in progressing in a financial services career will be considered.
