Your new role
You will be expected to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of geography, and teach to both GCSE and A-level standard. You must also plan, prepare and deliver your lessons in a manner that is interactive and engaging for students, whilst consistently setting and marking appropriate homework. Your lessons must also be delivered according to the national curriculum, and you will be expected to keep lesson aims and objectives in line with improving students GCSE and A-level geography examination results.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need a thorough understanding of GCSE and A-level geography, as well as an approved teacher status from NQT upwards. This also must accompanied with relevant experience teaching GCSE and A-level geography. You must be confident delivering your subject knowledge to a classroom of up to 28 students, and must be able to demonstrate good behaviour management. Furthermore you must also be comfortable communicating, and working as part of an expert humanities faculty whilst also demonstrating good time management throughout the temporary period.
