Salary: £55600 - £64417 (L15-L21) dependant on experience

Riverside Academy is a one form entry school for children aged 3-11 years old.There are approximately 240 in the school which is situated in the village of Newbold-On-Avon on the outskirts of Rugby.

The position arises due to the retirement of our Headteacher who has successfully led the school over the last six years.

The village has a real sense of community with the secondary school situated immediately next door.

As a team, we are passionate for all children to achieve to the very best of their ability.We aim to encourage their independence, resilience and confidence to take advantage of every opportunity and challenge to become lifelong learners. We encourage the children to take responsibility for their learning, to be able to recognize their progress and know their next steps to develop further. As part of our commitment to the children we constantly try to improve our provision. We encourage open staff debate to provide innovative learning and exciting experiences to boost their understanding, use of vocabulary and self esteem.

We value the contribution made by all stakeholders to support the children’s learning and have an established Parent Forum, Children’s Council and Junior Leadership Team.

The school is well supported by a strong team of Governors.

Riverside Academy was rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in May 2014.
