Job Title: Accounts Assistant - CALLING ALL GRADUATES!!!

Hours: Full time Mon-Fri

Location: Leeds Centre

Salary: £18,000


Our client are a global leading client with a highly reputable name in the market are currently seeking to expand their Accounts department with a recent Finance/Accountancy or Economics Graduate!

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who has graduated in recent years with a degree in accountancy and finance. The company believe in long term development and love supporting graduates get on the career ladder! They are looking to offer subsidised study support towards CIMA qualifications and in return want someone who is very dedicated and passionate about their career.

You will have the opportunity to rotate every 14-18 months into different areas of Finance giving you a great understanding of all business functions.

Key Skills required:

  • Proven ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines

  • Have an organised and methodical approach

  • Strong process delivery

  • Good IT Literacy, particularly on Excel

  • Strong team player

  • High levels of numeracy

    This is a very diverse and busy role with a lot of analytical administrative work involved which would suit someone with a practical and hands of approach. You will need to have an administrative background as well as strong numeracy skills and IT Literacy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Validate invoices to underlying data.

  • Validate data flows.

  • Support the analysts in the preparation of regulatory returns (Ofgem, Decc).

  • Allocate costs across consumption periods to help with the month end process.

  • Collate information to assist with the Contract End Reconciliation Process performed by the accounts assistants.

  • Prepare ad hoc reporting information to the analysts and accountants.

  • Collate information from the business for reporting monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

  • Investigate queries raised by brokers, customers and suppliers.

  • Update spreadsheets for new data and monthly reporting.

    To be considered for this role you will need to have graduated with no lower than a 2:2 over recent years in either Accountancy, Finance or Economics, but possess a strong interest in pursuing a career within an accounting capacity.
