Here at Just Eat we have a vast platform that supports both our customers (the hungry people) and our Restaurant Partners. As a UX graduate you’ll be part of a vibrant and growing team responsible for designing and deploying world class user experience for both our Customers and our Restaurant Partners.

Your Rotations:

The idea would be to gain a broad range of experiences to learn the intricacies of user interaction and experience from research and design to implementation. You will gain experience using tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite and Zeplin.

UI Studio:during this rotation you will learn how to;

  • deliver high quality, consistent layouts, interfaces and components for our online products using the latest industry software

  • collaborate and support cross-functional teams’ UX designers to create compelling user interfaces and/or components for product release and user testing

  • work closely with the UX Research Team in order to understand Just Eat consumers or partners around the world and how that affects the UI design

  • how UI design work impacts the product and the business overall, especially in terms of user impact

Research: during this rotation you will learn;

  • how to scope, design and conduct research, and identify the best method or a mix of methods based on research questions, timeline and resources

  • how to perform analysis and make recommendations by identifying user needs and converting them into actionable objectives for future product research and development

  • how to summarise the findings and recommendations of research studies and communicate them clearly to their wider team

UX Design: during this rotation you will learn;

  • the entire product lifecycle from concept to delivery to create documentation, wireframes, prototypes, pixel perfect UI

  • how to create hi- and lo-fi prototypes that can be validated on users

Product: during this rotation you will learn;

  • how the team’s designs are implemented and used by the business

  • to come up with creative solutions and test our ideas with real users

  • to identify product improvements that are both valuable and usable

  • the complete user journey


  • Design related degree

  • Passion for design outside of your studies

  • A-levels in social sciences and/or maths will be beneficial

  • Quick learner, with a blend of design, technical and business knowledge

  • Experience using the digital design toolkit, Sketch

  • Designing for at least one platform (Responsive web, iOS and/or Android) at multiple sizes/breakpoints

What are we looking for:

  • Design and typography skills for user interfaces

  • Ability to effectively collaborate but also take on a project and run with it

  • Good aptitude for learning and developing, both self-taught and via formal channels

  • Ability to take design feedback effectively

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Logical problem-solving skills

  • Business awareness

  • A strong customer focus
