If so our excellent finance team have a Finance Manager role in our Central Support Office in Gosforth. As Finance Manager your core responsibilities will include the overall day to day management of the Management Accounts Team based in our Gosforth office. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Management Accounts and be a key liaison between our teams.

You will be an integral part of the development, publication and review of regular performance measures, monthly management accounts and commentary to identify business issues and opportunities being proactive in putting action plans in place whiles providing ad-hoc MI to provide business insight as and when required.

You will be given the opportunity to identifying efficiencies particularly in relation to admin and finance processes and assisting in moving the business to live reporting / 9.30am Monday weekly key measures reports / Working Day 2 monthly management accounts reporting. Additionally key inputs into the development of BI across the group with a key focus on:
• Key strategic measures/KPIs
• Live reporting or daily/weekly
• Simple view – are we winning or losing

You will be given a fantastic opportunity to manage the daily, weekly, and month-end processes with specific responsibility to significantly improve timeliness, accuracy and efficiency of product. We are looking for a proactive leadership of the team with the outcome of a culture of highly engaged and proactive team (split across locations) delivering a high quality product. You will have a direct impact on 'Personal Impact Reviews', Regular team meetings and 1-2-1’s, Quarterly focus sessions, whiles offering a swift reaction to performance issues.

This is a great chance to work closely with a number of elements of the Management Accounts team, the FP&A team and all other areas of the finance team to ensure sound controls and insightful MI. Additionally you will take part in driving improvements in the overall finance product and culture of the finance team, and ensure that a minimum of 20% of the team resource is spent on business improvement activities.

Your skill set will play a key role when working closely with the Head of Management Accounts and IT / Systems team to drive improvements in the business IT and finance systems – particularly in relation to efficiency and ease of use for operators specifically regarding eradicating manual process, the cause of timing differences and reconciling items, and also risk of material error.

You will play an essential role with monthly formal reporting to the Head of Management Accounts on progress within the team and continuous updates of issues as they arise.

To be considered for this great opportunity the experience & qualifications required are:
• Qualified accountant with a number of years in PQE in industry – ideally in leisure or hospitality
• Experience in managing a complex finance function
• IT and accounting system experience particularly in the development of reporting
• Experience building and rolling out BI including a suite of key business measures
• Experience of engineering process improvements – timeliness, accuracy and efficiency
Additionally some of the key skills required to be truly successful are an ability to demonstrate a talent for leadership, highly numerate and analytical, highly organised, and positive with a proactive problem solving attitude.
