We are currently representing a well known business with the recruitment of a Financial Controller in a newly created role. The position has been created to report directly into the owner and to take responsibility for all financial related matters for three newly acquired businesses.

The businesses are still currently in their infancy but have huge ongoing growth plans. This is therefore an exciting and unusual opportunity to be part of the businesses success story from the outset.

Initially the role will involve setting up the accounting system, all processes, controls and procedures. The successful candidate will then take the lead role in reporting on all three businesses, all financial planning including budgeting and forecasting, working capital and cash flow forecasting, VAT and Intrastat reporting, cash management including foreign currency, overseeing all payments and payroll duties.

The successful candidate will initially have one direct report and it is anticipated that the department will grow quickly allowing this person opportunity to progress to a higher level, strategically focused role in the future.

They are looking for a fully qualified accountant with a broad skill set who can demonstrate experience in all or most of the above areas who is also looking for an operationally focused, results driven and able to work in a pressured environment. A background working in a start up situation and/or wholesale or import/export would be a distinct advantage.
