One of my financial clients based in Leeds is looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join their team.
This opportunity would ideally suit someone that can work autonomously, has strong analytical and negotiation skills, can identify cost savings and implement new tender contract agreements.
Most Suppliers are UK based or have UK agencies representing mostly European suppliers.
As a key buyer you will ideally have experienced working within a corporate environment but this is not essential and a sound understanding of negotiation and efficiencies with suppliers.
Reporting to the Operations Director this role is accountable for all purchasing and procurement, sourcing from existing and new clients, contract agreements, and cost savings, working towards budgets and coordinating and managing the product range for these bespoke products.
Your strong analytical skills, ability to interact effectively with a new team, technical quotations, awareness and technical mind are what my client ideally requires for this position.
Ability to manage timescales effectively and confidence to review tender contracts and costings.
Your experience monitoring supplier performance, overseeing product price listings, production of weekly/monthly reports and KPI’s for Directors.
We need candidates that have a minimum of 3 years experience working within a similar role.
Attractive competitive salary offered depend on experience with a bonus incentive included.
£28,000 - £30,000.
