Our client are an automation services business who provide safety critical automation into a niche market. They are looking to expand their team with an experienced Controls Systems Engineer due to the high demand of their product. This is a new and exciting opportunity to be part of a recognised business within the automation industry.
This is a varied Control Systems role comprising of scoping project requirements, software development, customer liaison and through to FAT and commissioning.
Scoping projects through liaising with our clients own project managers and technical sales engineers.
Creation of the full functional design specification (FDS).
Software development from scratch - mainly Siemens TIA Portal / S7 / WinCC
Liaising with customers, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure on time delivery.
Support FAT and commissioning phases in factory and customer sites.
Good PLC software development skills ideally utilising Rockwell and Siemens PLC software.
Any wider HMI, C ++ or C# coding skills would be a benefit.
Wider project engineering skills including overview and support of FDS/FAT and commissioning.
Excellent communication and organisation skills.
Can-do attitude with effective problem solving skills.
