Job Description: Reporting to the Commercial Director, responsibilities for the experienced Sales / Key Account Manager will include:

  • Developing relationships with national grocers and retailers in the UK
  • Establish best working practices to directly lead and oversee company sales
  • Refine the commercial portfolio to maximise gross profit
  • Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers
  • Prospect and contact potential customers, increasing the presence in major grocers and retailers to grow revenue streams
  • Manage continuing growth of existing accounts to drive business profits, working closely with the marketing tea
  • Seek and identify new channels for further routes-to-market
  • Selling into the Sports-nutrition and/or adjacent categories
  • Prepare sales plan, annual budget and accurate forecasting ongoing
  • Monitor and report on progress against sales goal
  • Deliver sales to meet and exceed set target
  • Work alongside the marketing team to ensure that initiatives are aligned

          The Successful Applicant: Our client is looking to appoint a Sales professional, with background and experience as follows:

          • Proven track record within FMCG
          • History of working with and growing major accounts within the grocery and retail sectors
          • Proven record of delivering sales conversion and growing accounts
          • Understanding of key buying cycles
          • Established network of appropriate connections/contacts (major grocers and retailers including Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys, WHSmith, Waitrose, Ocado, Co-op, Holland & Barrett)
          • Familiarity with CRM platforms
          • Exceptional negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
          • A desire to progress within a dynamic young FMCG company
