Role Purpose:

Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks across UK locations. Responsible for installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solve hardware and applications issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Maintain local infrastructure (servers, routers, switches, UPS, wireless, printers, alarms, cabling)
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Administer client hardware (desktop devices, deskphones, mobile, scanners) troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Point of contact for user requests
  • Interacts with internal customers to ensure that all Information Technology (IT) related issues are addressed and documented
  • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  • Test and evaluate new technology
  • Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.

Knowledge and experience required of:

- Windows Server 2008 - 2016

- Windows desktop 2007 - 2010

- Citrix, Hyper V & VMWare

- SCCM 2012 and above

- Desktop Imaging software

- Switching & Routing understanding including VLAN

- DHCP & DNS

- Mobile Device Management (MaaS 360)

- Anti-Virus - Kaspersky, MS Endpoint & Symantec

- Terminal Services, Remote desktop Connection
