They are looking to recruit a Claims Handler who can support the head of department managing their own caseload. The role will involve:

  • Being first point of contact for clients, internal departments and outside contractors
  • Following strict procedures and processes to ensure 100% legally compliant
  • Processing incoming claims inline with the regulatory guidelines
  • Preparing cases for input by the Underwriters
  • Ensuring the head of department is kept informed of the current status of all allocated claims
  • Working towards policy and procedure
  • Gaining additional information from clients
  • Dealing with all correspondence and Submitting claims for authorisation

The successful candidate must have:

  • Experience of working in Financial Services
  • Methodical and organised with a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • CPD gained within the Financial Services industry ideal/
  • FPC1/CF1/IF1
  • Strong communication skills with a confident, polite and clear telephone manner
  • Experience of working to strict deadlines and targets
  • Demonstrable commitment to development of Financial Services and technical knowledge/skills
  • Knowledge and experience of working with electronic data management systems
  • GCSE Maths and English at B or above / equivalent
  • Good administrative and customer service skills
