1st Line IT Customer Service Analyst - Nottingham


Role: 1st line support, helping to support desktops/networks/server environments

Location: Nottingham

Pay: £16.5k (rising to £18k after 3-month probation) + £3k OTE + excellent benefits (bonus, healthcare etc.)

Required skills: Good understanding of desktop, laptop and basic network hardware, MS Office and internet connectivity (TCP/IP).

We love recruiting for roles such as this one; when a customer rings you up and says they need someone who is full of enthusiasm and a hunger to learn to take on a junior role in their IT team, but one where they can make a huge impact and progress within the business longer-term.

You will be joining a team of 1st line support analysts in the heart of Nottingham. You will be the first port of call when it comes to support, being the initial point of contact for any customer with a technical query. This role is shift-based and may require you to work the odd weekend or bank holiday so flexibility is really important (though they do want you to have a social life as well!)

The role demands superb interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills, and any IT support knowledge and/or experience would be advantageous. Graduates or college leavers with an interest in technology will be considered.

In a nutshell, we are looking for someone who has;

  • An understanding of good customer service principles
  • Excellent relationship building skills on the phone (call centre experience ideal)
  • Good general IT skill (using PCs/Laptops, connecting to the internet etc.)
  • A passion for problem solving and the web (either as a hobby or from school/Uni/college/work)
