Accounts Assistant/ Accounts Payable/ Flexible Working Hours/ Free On-Site Parking/ Varied Role

I am working on a vacancy for a highly successful and ever expanding client. They need to increase headcount within their commercial accounts team and so require an additional accounts assistant to predominately support the accounts payable function.

I am keen to speak with positive, motivated and committed candidates that posses excellent Excel skills and are keen to further their career within an accounting role. This position will suit a positive, people person who has the ability to work as part of a motivated team.

Job Description:

  • Extensive and intricate supplier reconciliations using Excel
  • Monitoring and resolving any associated discrepancies
  • Statement reconciliations
  • Reporting for management purposes
  • Reconciliation and analysis of large volumes of financial data using excel
  • Streamlining current processes and procedures
  • Processing, coding and payment of high volumes of supplier invoices to strict and specific agreed time frames
  • Ensuring supplier over payments are kept to a minimum
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements
  • Development of working relationships with internal and external stakeholders ( suppliers, management, other internal teams)
  • Processing company expenses and credit card statements
  • Analysis of business spend

Requirements:

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills ( V look up/ Pivot tables as a prerequisite)
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Organised approach with the ability to prioritise work flow
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Positive and fun personality
  • Ability to work within a high volume role, manipulating high volumes of data
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work to tight time frames
  • Problem solving skills
