Claims Handler - health insurance

We have a superb opportunity for an experienced Claims Handler to take responsibility for the processing and assessment of a case load of claims to timely completion.
The duties include;
Receiving and handling enquiries and issuing forms.
Assessment of claims and acting as a first point of contact for the claimant, internal departments and external agencies.
Validating all evidence including medical documentation.
Calculating benefit entitlement.
Investigating potential no disclosure and fraudulent claims.
Dealing with all documentation and ensuring all information is accurately processed.
keep the claimant informed at all stages.
Making decisions and authorising claims within an agreed level.
Assisting in the payment process to provide benefit payments.
Organise health visits and medical examinations as required.
Ensuring a high level of accuracy to meet compliance legislation.
Skills and experience:
Experience of handling insurance claims, in particular life, health or disability.
A good standard of education with GCSE grade B in Maths and English or equivalent.
Good working knowledge of MS applications.
Ability to deal with people in difficult situations, working to meet strict deadlines.
Ideally have FPC1 / CF1 / IF1 qualifications.
