We are pleased to be working with an award winning client requiring an Account Supervisor to join their expanding team.
Purpose of the job
To provide daily support to a team of Field Based or Internal Account Managers.
The role is to provide a comprehensive administration & support service to SME.
To include; Private Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Travel Insurance, Health Cash Plans, Occupational Health, Group Risk, Employee Assistance Programs and Health Screenings.
Processing New Business & Retention activities, supporting the internal & external sales force.
Working closely alongside team of Account Managers and dealing with the day to day administration of a portfolio of clients, ensuring a high retention and spotting opportunities for growth
What we expect you to do:
Build an understanding on the range of products and services sold to be able to answer any queries from clients
Build a relationship with the portfolio of SME clients
Handle client queries, claims / invoice issues, chasing membership packs, certificates or up-to-date membership lists in order to provide a high level service to clients that is valued and strengthens the client relationshi
Understand invoice processing from insurers/providers
Chase clients for outstanding payments and be able to explain how their premiums have been calculated and what is owed
Handle client amendments such as joiners & leavers, tracking their progress and confirming to clients, providing premiums if required
Contact insurers/providers to resolve any amendments not actioned or to resolve any issues that clients are facing using initiative and conscientiousness and following through to completion
Audit scheme data and draw up scheme specification
Input notes on all business, new/retention and any amendments into Swift on a daily basis
Support your Account Managers/ Head of Retention with any market reviews / new business enquiries
Chase renewal terms from holding insurers/providers if requested by Account Manager
Liaise with relevant Account Managers / Head of Retention providing additional support where required
Assist the Account Managers / Head of Retention during the renewal or switching of schemes - setting up new policies, obtaining membership lists, editing spreadsheets, chasing previous insurer certificates or advising insurers to lapse policies
Broad understanding of the healthcare market desirable but not essential as full training is provided
Experience in dealing successfully with customer enquiries essential
Strong personable telephone manner

Relationship building with Insurers/Providers, Clients and Account Managers
Exceptional effective verbal and written communication skills
Analytical with good judgement
Well organised and can respond well under pressure and meeting deadlines
Working well as part of a team as well as being able to work for periods using own initiative
Working in a changing market
Some knowledge of Group Risk useful but not essential
Experienced in using Microsoft Office Programs
Very comfortable working with Spreadsheets, with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Used to Multi-tasking
Efficient and Reliable
Minimum of Cert CII or willingness to study towards qualification
