Your new team
The Hays marketing team is part-way through a major digital transformation programme, putting strong customer data assets to work, through new approaches to planning, executing and measuring marketing. The Group Digital and Data Marketing Team acts as a hub to coordinate this programme, both directly through hands-on implementation, and indirectly through strategy setting and support for marketing teams embedded in our individual countries.
Your new role
In 2018, we are deploying Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) across all Hays businesses. The Group Digital Marketing Projects Manager will act as a hybrid of project manager, subject matter expert and marketing consultant as we roll out SFMC and other marketing tools and technologies, both Management of deployment, onboarding and performance of new marketing technologies in Hays.
Reporting into the Group Data Marketing Director, you will be responsible for the project management of all non-IT components of Martech roll-out and liaison with IT and Web & Digital Products team on technical requirements, issue resolution etc. You will be developing and managing user training programmes for SFMC for all countries and supported by the Group Marketing Analytics Manager, you will track performance of business units, channels and campaigns, and intervene where performance is not on track.
As an advisor to in-country marketing teams across our global network (where some overseas travel will be involved) you will understand the opportunities and challenges of local marketing activities and provide solutions where needed. In addition you will share successful local marketing campaign ideas with other country marketing teams and create a library of case studies and re-usable campaigns. You will provide in-country marketing teams with recommendations for ideas to test, based on best practice from other teams, and track the execution and success measurement of these recommendations.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role you will have a solid track record in digital marketing with advanced knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud or ExactTarget. Knowledge of social media marketing (ideally use of Salesforce Social Studio / Radian6) and programmatic digital advertising would also be advantageous.
This may be your first in-house role coming from an agency or consultancy background or you are looking to take on a bigger challenge at management level in your digital marketing career within a business that has a global reach.
Due to the small size of the Group Digital & Data Marketing team, and high volume of projects, you will need to take responsibility for planning and delivering against goals. As most of our projects are delivered in collaboration with other parts of the business; including country-based marketing teams, IT and operations, the ability to build relationships across organisational lines is essential.
Whilst our tools are data and software, we believe these are strongest when coupled with the traditional skills of creativity, imagination and empathy, we are looking for an individual who takes pride in both storytelling and the customer experience.
What you will get in return
This opportunity will allow you to work on a global scale for a high performing business, where you will hold a critical role in the shaping and developing of digital marketing tools across group. This will be a highly influential role where you can fully utilise your advisory skills to support the development and evolvement of our digital marketing strategy around the world.
