EMEA Mechanical Engineering Manager - Strategic Project Delivery

Purpose of Role
The Mechanical Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe design, integrated engineering systems compliance and quality assurance for all Mechanical Engineering aspects of Dematic project deliverables according to the contract.
The key accountabilities are to ensure we meet all performance requirements, technical specifications and other standards defined by the customer.
You will ensure that proper reviews are conducted for all design documentation and related specifications as they apply to the projects
You will be responsible for ensuring harmonisation across mulitple projects in EMEA interacting with other Dematic teams such as controls engineering; R+D; Project Management and Health and Safety. As well as external suppliers and sub contractors
You will also be responsible for presenting regular updates to the customer and senior Dematic management.
To be successful in this highly business critical and challenging NEW position within Dematic you will:
You will have a (mechanical) engineering degree
Will have been involved in delivering multiple mechanical engineering projects, across EMEA, ideally within warehousing automation
Will have a proven track record of deliving projects through others . Able to standardise and harmonize processes across multiple EMEA locations.
Have substantial experience driving and managing change across a global organisation
Will be willing to travel (20% +of the time)
• The post holder will be required to work outside the core business hours. Some weekend work may be required.
• To support the geographical spread of our sites and regional offices there will be unique traveling opportunities around the world.
