Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for an ambitious Credit Controller for one of our key clients in the Sheffield area. This role

The purpose of the role is to liaise with a wide and diverse customer portfolio, managing a busy sales ledger from start to finish whilst minimising credit risk for the company.

Duties & responsibilities:

1.To manage a ledger of key customers maintaining high value accounts
2.To attend regular debt management meetings with customers and management
3.To ensure collection of debt within customer payment terms and minimise overdue debt.
4.To ensure accurate, immediate allocation of receipts to accounts
5.To liaise with Customers and staff to ensure customer queries are resolved promptly
6.To highlight any potential debt risk to the Credit Manager
7.To provide cover for other credit controllers as required
8.To complete any other ad-hoc duties as required by management

Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills Required:

*Excellent knowledge of credit control procedures (minimum 2 years' experience)
*Detailed knowledge of financial systems
*Used to working with high value, key customer accounts in a large organisation
*Good communication both written and verbal
*Ability to communicate effectively with senior management
*Good excel skills to intermediate or advanced level
*Accurate keyboard computer skills
*Self motivated, efficient and organised
*Previous experience of working for a large multi national organisation
*Experience within the logistics or freight forwarding industry
*Experience of working with multiple currencies in a financial environment
*Advanced Excel Skills
