IT Service Desk Manager

My Fareham based client, a client that are an established managed service provider and consultancy, are actively seeking an IT Service Desk Manager (ideally having worked within an MSP/Consultancy setting however not essential) to oversee their Service Desk, not only based at their main office in Fareham, but also the on-site services offered across the South and London.

The MSP in question have been established for 17 years and are forever evolving. Working with large enterprises, they ensure that their clients’ needs are always met and exceeded, providing an outstanding service at all times.

As the IT Service Desk Manager, you will report to the Operations Director / Operations Manager ensuring a transformation of the service desk within a ITIL led environment.

This will be completely hands-off and doesn’t necessarily need varied technological experience, however having both a technological and hands-on management background will be a plus.

Your focus will be on the managerial implications of not only the service desk but the clients in which they service. Due to this, you will need to be flexible as there will be daily commutes across the South Coast and London on occasions to visit the onsite functions.

You will need the following:

• Excellent Service Desk Management background
• Excellent management of IT support functions from 1st line, 2nd line and 3rd line support
• Strong experience of supporting and delivering improvement & change to service desk functions
• Experience of assisting with new strategies and policies to drive change
• Strong incident management & problem management experience
• Ideally experience of working in a customer led environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement experience

Ideally coming from a managed service environment, you will be at the forefront of change.

The position is based in Central London, with a salary of up to £35,000 - £45,000 per annum with an immediate start.
