Finance Administration Officer Job - Victoria - 6 months FTC - Salary - Circa £21,085 per annum pro rata

To support the delivery of a high quality, professional Finance function within the organisation by providing effective and efficient administration and finance transaction support to the team.

Your new role
The successful candidate will be monitoring the finance intranet page to ensure this is updated as necessary and filled with new and relevant content. This includes working with finance and communications colleagues to establish what could be published. Co-ordinate meetings for finance colleagues, including booking rooms, lunches, and notifying reception of visitors where relevant. Other duties will involve providing administrative support for key business meetings, including organising papers, taking minutes, and tracking and chasing meeting actions. Also provide administrative support to the Directorate, including organising travel, booking training courses, preparing purchase orders, dealing with and distributing post etc. The post holder will co-ordinate responses to recommendations made by Internal and External Auditors, including updating the audit recommendations tracker. Process and record Accounts Payable transactions, ensuring payments are accurate and timely, identifying and resolving any routine queries arising or escalating more complex issues where necessary Furthermore, they will provide support to Finance Business Partners in resolving Accounts Payable queries as required Also the post holder will process and record the Organisation's staff expenses transactions, including travel, subsistence, and overtime, to ensure payments are accurate and timely, financial records are updated and maintained, and that the Organisation complies with HMRC guidelines, particularly P11D requirements. prepare the Organisations transparency reporting for spend over £25,000 and Directors' Expenses for publication

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role the successful candidate needs to be foundation level AAT accreditation or equivalent. They also need to demonstrate previous experience of working in a banking or financial services environment and experience of using financial ledger systems, preferably Agresso It is also essential to have previous experience of working in Public Sector, particularly with the Central Government financial framework. Experience of working in a busy office environment, preferably in either an accountancy related, PA or business support role is highly desirable for this role. Other essential to be able to managing own workload against deadlines, within the context of wider set objectives and have experience of putting together committee papers, taking minutes and following up actions
