Your new role
You must be confident in teaching key stage 3, 4 & 5 Science and have proven ability of working with GCSE groups and driving forward results. It will also be a requirement of the Science teacher to deliver, competently & confidently, lessons fulfilling the requirements of the UK National Curriculum and be willing to contribute to additional responsibilities and extra-curricular activities.
What you'll need to succeed
If selected you will be expected to deliver lessons in a purposeful and focused manner, whilst maintaining an enjoyable learning environment in which to keep the students actively engaged. As the Science teacher position is on a temporary basis (for 2 terms) it is essential candidates are able to work as part of a team in order to quickly and efficiently settle and work in partnership with other members of the Science department.
