Working for the Public sectors largest and well-loved organisation.


During this role you will report directly to the Head of Procurement, and work with a team of Category specialists throughout your 8 Month Fixed Term Contract.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • ?negotiating high value tenders and cobtracts for goods and services
  • Achieving the best possible cost-saving outcome
  • Develop procurement strategies and achieve savings targets
  • Develop supplier relationships
  • Negotiate with suppliers
  • Conduct high value tenders
  • Ensure all compliance and regulations are adhered too
  • Research market place
  • Evaluate tender returns
  • Award contracts
  • Monitor supplier performance


Essentials include:

  • ?CIPS or degree level, business related qualification
  • Minimum 3 years experience in procurement
  • Experience of managing staff
  • Excellent numerical and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Adaptable to change
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities


Desirables include:

  • ?MBA or MSC in procurement and supply chain
  • Experience in managing complex tenders
  • Commercial negotiation training of
  • Knowledge of contract law´╗┐
