We are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger and Payroll Assistant to join a small Accounts team for a well-established family run business based in Great Barr. You will have experience of dealing with payroll for 25+ employees and running the full purchase ledger process.

Salary £18,000 - £20,000

Fantastic working hours and a 12.30pm finish on a Friday! Free onsite parking and monthly bonus.

Main Duties:

Process purchase orders and inputting into the company system

Statement and account reconciliations

Processing weekly wages for around 25 employees

Producing VAT returns

Authorise supplier payments

Dealing with month end payments

Looking after stationery orders and franking post

Petty cash

Taking credit and debit card payments

Assist with other general office duties when needed


Experience within a similar role and running the full purchase ledger process

Experience of payroll

Excellent attention to detail

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Ability to work on your own inactive and work well under pressure
