12 month fixed term contract opportunity to join an established business on the outskirts of Colchester to work as a Payroll Manager.

The Payroll and Pensions work is varied and involves complete control of several weekly & monthly payrolls, plus completion of periodic and annual returns. Overseeing reconciliation of payroll control accounts including tax, NI and pensions. Production of various reports for internal and external use.


• An experienced and qualified Payroll person with good knowledge of current legislation.
• Currently working in Payroll and with a good knowledge of Pensions administration.
• Familiar with P11d, Microsoft Office, Excel & MS Word applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as are accuracy and timely reporting to deadlines.
• Full understanding of double entry book-keeping and working knowledge of accounts to Trial Balance.
• Experience in managing a team of payroll administrators. Working hands on together to ensure completion within tight deadlines.
