I am looking to recruit an experienced buyer for one of my prestigious clients. You need to have at least three years buying experience within a wholesale environment and the right person will possess a strong ability to control and deliver KPIs, can work with data, be able to prioritise, demonstrating first class organisational, time management and communication skills. Need to be commercially aware, creative, organised and have the ability to multi-task.

The duties for this role are as follows

  • Ensure that Purchase Orders are processed in a timely fashion to ensure delivery schedules / supplier OTIF are met/exceeded

  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings and liaising with relevant stakeholders

  • Responsibility of managing suppliers including KPI reporting

  • Building up strong relationships with suppliers to deliver effective and profitable plans

  • Negotiating prices with suppliers for new and existing products

Skills that are essential for this role

  • Minimum three years purchasing experience

  • Commercially astute

  • Strong financial awareness

  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • Experience working with ERP / MRP systems

  • Good negotiating skills

  • Motivated and driven personality

  • Reliable and committed

  • A superb team player

  • A willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty

  • Process driven and able to multi task effectively

  • A self-starter with a can-do attitude

  • Friendly and sociable
