Network Implementation and Support Engineer- Reading

Have you gained experience supporting Networks, have you gained a CCNA qualification,? Are you now looking for your next challenge? If so the role as Network Implementation and Support Engineer role at ESP Global Services based onsite at the Head Quarters in Reading. Desirable for you to have SC Clearance as majority of our customers are airport based and the role holder will need to obtain security clearance.

ESP is a rapidly growing business, as a result we have an urgent requirement to increase the head count within the current Infrastructure team. We are looking for a Network Implementation and Support Engineer who shall focus on the design, implementation and support of customer networks in addition to ESP's own infrastructure.

What does the role involve?

  • Design, Implement and Support Technical solutions for ESP and their customer hosted Networks
  • Working closely with the Head of IT and Customers to deploy solutions that support the business need
  • Assist the Sales department, acting as the subject matter expert including liaison with the end client when required
  • Carry out routine customer visits to check IT Infrastructure
  • Monitor ESP's and customer's network and report any issues to management
  • Maintain customer and ESP's technical documentation
  • Provide recommended improvements/ upgrades were required
  • Carry out routine customer visits to check IT Infrastructure

Essential Skills & Experience we are looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience required supporting Networks with HP, Cisco, Juniper in an office environment for role holder to perform fully and effectively in the job
  • Strong Skills in Data Switches and Routers
  • CCNA Qualification - or working towards qualification, CCNP even better!
  • Flexible and positive attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Previous experience of working within a Customer Facing role.
  • ITIL Foundation- desirable
  • Self-Motivated approach
