Temp to Perm Finance Assistant role at successful property company in Central London. Starting ASAP. Salary circa £30K

*Please note* - you must have demonstrable experience in clearing out a backlog of work and carrying out reconciliations of old balance sheet items.

Role Profile

Role: Finance Assistant

Salary: £28-32K + competitive 6-monthly bonus

Reports to: Financial Controller

Contract: Full time (temporary with potential to permanent)

Hours: 9:30am - 6pm

Role Purpose

This is a new position within the Finance Department. The group has grown significantly over the past 6 years. With new systems and controls being implemented, the role of Financial Assistant is now required to maintain and develop financial information in a clear and coherent manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • To input sales and receipts
  • To input purchases and payments
  • To process expense claims
  • To process banking journals and prepare bank reconciliations
  • To assist in preparation of VAT returns and reconciliations
  • To carry out intercompany reconciliations
  • To prepare interest schedules on external and intercompany loans
  • To reconcile debtor and creditor balances
  • To maintain fixed asset registers and record depreciation


  • Organised
  • Structured and methodical in approach
  • Works on own initiative

Skills and Experience

  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Experience of Sage is an advantage
  • Experience of business banking online is an advantage
  • Familiarity with performing reconciliations
  • Solid and proven accounting background
  • Strong work ethic and looking to develop and grow within an organisation
